Quick Sesame Noodle

I really love eating noodles! I actually like them more than rice. It has so many variations that you can actually combine it with! :)

This afternoon, I made Sesame Noodles, which is one of the easiest things I like to do whenever I want to eat noodles. All you need are: noodles, sesame sauce, oyster sauce, and some liquid seasoning.

the three things you need + noodles!
If you don't like to use the liquid seasoning or the oyster sauce, it's okay! :) Noodles + Sesame Dressing/sauce is simply good enough for me! It can also be eaten even if you chill it and you can also add topping like seared shiitake mushrooms, eggplant, tomato or even cucumber to make it a soothing cool salad. I also would love to add blanched shrimps or crabsticks or anything I have and like to have. ^.^

Something easy and delicious! :) No measurement needed because anything depends on how much you want from it! :)

Egg and Chorizo Salad

Being inspired by the recipe given by Pepper.ph, I decided to try making this salad for my dinner last night and in the end I instantly loved it! ^.^

The great part is that it is very easy to make and my mom liked it which is really the greatest part about this! :) I like how it differs from the usual salads I eat. In some way, this is more savory and it is very comforting! Thanks to pepper.ph, I found a new easy and great salad recipe!

For the original recipe click this.

I made a few changes to the recipe and this is what I did...

So in a bowl I placed a handful of salad greens (definitely what you like). Then in a pan, I fried an egg sunny side up, making sure that the yolk is not cooked all the way through. I placed the egg on top of the veggies and using the same oil, I pan fry my cubed Chinese chorizos until they are cooked through. I then placed it on top of the greens and egg and poured a little of the olive oil from the pan. Lastly, I added a sprinkle of parmigiana cheese! :)

And there's my dinner! yummy and easy...

Hong Kong : Biscuits and Starbucks

Here are some more photos for my LAST post about my trip to Macau and Hong Kong.

I honestly love Aunt Stella's Cookies but found a new love for Quantet Cookies. Both stores are found at The New Town Mall. According to my cousin who lives in HK, the store Quantet Cookies was opened by a former Ms. Hong Kong and actually opened quite a number of branches around Hong Kong. During the Lunar Festival, people tend to exchange their cookies rather than mooncakes which is very interesting! :)

I like their store for its simplicity. They have this wide array of cookies for you try! As what I have counted so far, they have 22 types of cookies! :) Across this table is the cashier and the store is simply just like that! You see the products, you buy the products.

My mom and I actually love the cookie we both and regret the fact that we only bought one pack of it. We actually finished the whole thing in less than two days.

On the other hand, I have learned about Aunt Stella's Cookies when my cousin gave us a box of it before. I really loved it immediately or it was love at first bite, but sad to say, the ones we bought were not what we really were looking for. But I still like the blueberry and orange butter cookies! ^.^

Lastly, I just want to show you a Starbucks we came upon on Citygate Outlet in Tung Chung which by far, has the most number of food choices I have ever seen on a Starbucks! They offered salads, pasta, SOUP, bread, pastry, sandwiches and more.. don't forget the drinks!

love this picture for the natural light I got from the Sun :))

And so I guess, here ends my stories and pictures about my last vacation trip to Macau and Hong Kong! :)

Hong Kong : Shanghai Street

On my last day in Hong Kong, I challenged myself to walk around the streets of Hong Kong with just enough money to get back to the hotel and a map! My desired destination was Shanghai Street in Yau Ma Tai. Shanghai Street has a lot of stores that sells all kinds of cooking utensils and stuff that one may need.

I left our hotel at Sha Tin at 9:30am and was at Shanghai Street just in time when stores are already open :) I first thought that it was like Tabora in Divisoria which is a long street full of shops but I was wrong. It was actually just a short portion of the whole Shanghai Street but it was still worth the travel, because each store seems to have their own specialty and when summed up becomes a complete set!

I was only able to take few photos from this trip because I forgot to transfer my memory card from the laptop to my digicam... I first read about Shanghai Street from Mochachocolata-Rita way before we even planned about this trip and by the time we did start planning about it, I came upon another post from ShootFirstEatLater about this that made me want to be there more.

Basically, the short walk is composed of stores facing each other selling a variety of items from catering, baking, to simple utensils you may need. ^.^ The store I really loved and loked was I  ♥ Cake! I loved the exterior and interior ambiance it had and the things they sell where some of which are very much unique for me.

I bought this cookie cutter with its own labeler which I thought was really good for personalized butter cookies or cookies that can easily show the pressed letters. :) I also bought some birthday candles, a "happy birthday" design you can put on a cake and more. Some of which I forgot as of now! :) I also wanted to buy me a mooncake molder but thought twice because I can't find a design I really liked. :)

If you would like to go to where I went, go to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station and use the Exit B2 and just follow the blue line :)
