Sometimes I'm hiding away from the madness around me
Like a child who's afraid of the dark
But when I call on Jesus
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When I call on Jesus Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call
Weary brother
Broken daughter Widowed, widowed lover
You're not alone
If you're tired and scared of the madness around you
If you can't find the strength to carry on
But when you call on Jesus
All things are possible
You can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When you call on Jesus
Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue you when you call
Call Him in the mornin'
In the afternoon time
Late in the evenin'
He'll be there
When your heart is broken
And you feel discouraged
You can just remember that He said He'll be there
When I call on Jesus
All things are possible
I can mount on wings like eagles and soar
When I call on Jesus
Mountains are gonna fall
'Cause He'll move heaven and earth to come rescue me when I call.
At this moment I am inside a computer shop near FEU typing my way out of anger. It has already been 2 meetings of a particular subject that we don't have a professor around duringthe class. I am here because I don't have anywhere else to go for the next 3 hours... I just hope that my class later has the professor around... :( I just hate it when the student is having a hard time going to school not to be absent and yet it seems like the professors don't really care about it... I don't know the real reason why they are not around and I am just jumping to conclusions (which I know is wrong) but I just truly hope that they will come to class soon.. Not only are we wasting money but also our precious time! :( Lord, patulong naman oh :|
To all the people out there who loves eating buffet, this is a good offer for you! :D Until the end of this month (JUNE), Traders Hotel has a promo of pay one for two. For only Php 950, you can avail of their lunch buffet for two people for the price of one. Isn't that amazing??? If you want to know more about this you can call 5237011 :D
The last time i posted something here was on June 18 so the things that happened to me after that day are as follows:
June 20 - It was a very tiring day but I finally got enrolled at FEU. The whole day was spent for just getting me enrolled and I remember that I was very very very VERY tired and thirsty that day...
June 21 - Hmm... Ah! It was the first day of school and I was still in shock knowing that I just got enrolled yesterday, cause usually it takes a few weeks before school starts after enrollment... :D I also watched The musical play entitled "fIrst nAMe" at UECP. It is a very wonderful musical play and i hope that they will repeat this play in the near future! :D ( I will try to talk about this play in my future posts)
June 22 - Happy belated father's day to all the dads out there. On this day, I got to experience or see the first snatching on a jeep. A guy took a lady's necklace through the long window of the jeep. This happened along Doroteo Jose, near The Grand Opera Hotel. I was in shock that time because I have this theory in mind that snatching is long gone, time now is different from time then, where snatching was always happening. So until now I am still in shock! O_O (so to those people who has the same theory as me, be careful!!) /// Don't you just love the story of the prodigal son?? (Luke 15:11-32) It was shared to us by Pastor Jonathan Banzuelo at church that day and I am amazed by it every time. It reminds me that no matter how far or how hurtful it is we turn our back from God, He is always there to give us everything (even if we don't deserve it), He is always there to forgive us even if we have hurt Him so much..The conversation of the father and the lost son is just amazing! I just love it... ^^
June 23 - Yesterday was almost the official first day of classes for me. The irritating part was that I have three classes to attend and only the first class had the teacher / professor present. The other two classes' professors were both absent. Not only did I waste money (for lunch) but also my cannot-bring-back-precious-time!!! And I was very sick yesterday, I have cold so I was very sick and tired yesterday. I was even ordered by my parents to get some sleep that afternoon... I thank God, for when I woke up, I felt better. :D
June 24... Which is today is a mix of good and bad day... Bad because I only have one class and due to the heavy rain there was traffic and due to that traffic I had to walk all the way from Aranque to FEU just to be not late on that class and gladly, I was not tardy. After 15 minutes, I am starting to think that the professor won't or will not be able to attend the class and after another 15 minutes, I was RIGHT! The professor did not come and all the students were starting to leave, I was even the last one to leave the class. The good thing that happened to me today was that the jeep I was riding on my way home. Due to the heavy traffic, the jeepney driver decided to make a shortcut trip by turning to what I think is Severino Reyes Street to avoid traffic. After that he passed along the bridge in Luzon Street, turned right at Benavidez Street. What's great about this is that I was getiing nearer and naerer to my house. When he turned left at La Torre Street, that was the time i shouted "para po!" and everyone was looikg at me, which is kinda cool :D and I am really thankful for this event because I know that God made this happen and ayaw Niya akong mapagod pa... :D Thanks God!!!
In good times and bad times, God will always be there for us to protect us, comfort us, cheer us up so never ever lose hope.. that is what I learned today :D
I have been wanting to write this post for almost a very very long time. Many of us surely watch TV and there is this one commercial on TV right now that really really REALLY bugs me a lot! You see, this is the commercial where she or I think her name is Lumen or her mom or whoever she is, tells the consumers that Surf is "siksik" with laundry powder compared to other brands. And I think that there is two sub-commercial for this category, one with showing the other brand's package and the latest one with just their own product. What makes me almost hate this commercial is that it is a total (how can I say this?) liar! Now why is this commercial a liar? You see (again), when the promoter pitiks the package she pitiked it on the right side (from our view) and when she shows the side where it is "supposedly" be shown, she shows us the other side and that is the left side, which is wrong. Of course, with some common sense when you pitik the right side all the powder inside goes to the left side and therefore making it siksik and HAY!!! It is just so wrong! Even at the end of the commercial she keeps on pitiking it on one side and showing us the OTHER side!! I just want to share this because I just want to share to others this uhmm.. this thoughts that are in my mind and that is all! I can't find pictures with regards to this matter so you just have to see this for yourself! TURN ON THAT TV! haha
Just to make myself clear, I have NOTHING against Unilever and Surf itself. I am typing this blog just to share my thought on this matter! okay?? :D I just hope that these kinds of things won't happen again. I know that I am a somebody in this world and therefore I also believe that I can make something change.. :D
My devotion last night reminded me of a wonderful song that all of us knows. The devotion's title is also the title of my post, cast your cares. Do you already know the song??? I think you know it already...haha Anyways, the song is.....
I Will Cast All My Cares Upon You I will cast all my cares upon You. I'll lay all of my burdens down at your feet. And many times I don't know what to do. I will cast all my cares upon you.
What do you think?? I like it so much because the song reminds me that if there are those times when I can't handle something, I will just lift it up to God and let Him help me. It reminds me that I am nothing without Him and that nothing is impossible with Him. The good thing also is that the devotion last night helped me to be brave enough with this coming academic year, it is a great way to start something new, to be reminded of it all the time,.Don't you think so? :)
Love the song and lyrics of course! hope you like it too.. :D
Well if you only knew the pain that I’ve been through Since when did it become all about you As you can see right from the start I’ve said the truth And if the truth means nothing to you Then what am I supposed to do?
And I’ll still love you Beyond what words can say I’ll take your every suffering moment And bring a better day I’ll still love you More than what I hope to be Let me wrap my arms around you Let me take your breath away
And every time I ask You assure your doing fine But your heart looks good by smiling You couldn’t fool mine And by the end of the night your pillow sits to dry In a crowded room your singing But on the inside you sigh
And I’ll still love you Beyond what words can say I’ll take your every suffering moment And bring a better day I’ll still love you More than what I hope to be Let me wrap my arms around you Let me take your breath away
In a ball room there is dancing In a forest there are trees In a child there’s a hope That keeps him in belief With any star there is a sky With any beach there’s a sea With any love song there’s a lover And in your heart I hope its....
And I’ll still love you Beyond what words can say I’ll take your every suffering moment And bring a better day And I’ll still love you More than what I hope to be
Let me wrap my arms around you Let me wrap my arms around you Let me wrap my arms around you Let me take your breath away
Why are you striving these days
Why are you trying to earn grace
Why are you crying
Let me lift up your face
Just don't turn away
Why are you looking for love
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough
To where will you go child
Tell me where will you run
To where will you run
And I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you
Look at these hands and my side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world's sin
So I could carry you in
And give you life
I want to give you life
(Chorus 2x)
Cause I, I love you
I want you to know
That I, I love you
I'll never let you go
After reading this book for two weeks, I finally finished reading it. I must say that it is a great book. Things that are about to happen is so unexpected, I myself was surprised with the events. I won't categorize this book as a full-thriller / suspense (which I thought it was). It is more of a spiritual / inspirational and just uhm.. a light reading fiction book. (gets?) I would recommend it to lawyers who are too busy with their work or anyone out there who are always busy with their profession. The book taught me to value my life after my life and not the life I have right now, life with Him and not money and all. I guess, that is all. I can lend anyone who wants to borrow this book from me... (hiramin niyo ah!) :D It is really a good book.. Thanks to Adrian for suggesting this book for me to read :)
Oh how i wish i can have this techie stuff! For me, it is much better than iPod but not better than iPhone cause you can have this sort of application on your iPhone =)) uhm.. check it out on this site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Kindle). Sad thing is it is only available at USA hay... Anyone out there who lives and is reading this blog post please buy this for me! ~_~ LOL!
Last Thursday, Abi told me that she wanted to get a non-pro license (or was it Wednesday)and asked me if I can go with her and I told her that I can. But things did not happen as planned. We ended up going to BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) because if you are applying for a non-pro license, the LTO requires you to have a TIN. So when we got there we asked for the form needed to be filled up and ask for the other requirements needed. In order to have a TIN that is applicable to attaining a license (cause I just learned that you can have a TIN for many types of reason), you must have the following requirements!
-Barangay Clearance -Original and maybe a photocopy of your Birth Certificate -The forms from LTO that you have filled out (ALL OF IT!) -Filled-out form that you will get from the BIR office
Therefore i suggest everyone or anyone out there who wants to apply for a non-professional license to first go to LTO then BIR then lastly LTO again! I think that is how it works.. i will keep you posted about this when Abi updates me with her status. By the way BIR has changed its location and is now near Starbucks Intramuros and Mocha Blends (well, they are technically beside each other, Starbucks and Mocha Blends) haha uhmm.. it is at the back of BPI and the building is the same as the colors of the building of FEU haha...(starting to love my soon-to-be alma mater) haha.. Well, that is all FOR NOW!
A little boy of thirteen was on his way to school He heard a crowd of people laughing and he went to take a look Thousands were listening to the stories of one man He spoke with such wisdom, even the kids could understand
The hours passed so quickly, the day turned to night Everyone was hungry but there was no food in sight The boy looked in his lunchbox at the little that he had He wasn't sure what good it'd do, there were thousands to be fed
But he saw the twinkling eyes of Jesus The kindness in His smile And the boy cried out With the trust of a child he said:
"Take my five loaves and two fishes Do with it as you will I surrender Take my fears and my inhibitions All my burdens, my ambitions You can use it all to feed them all"
I often think about that boy when I'm feeling small And I worry that the work I do means nothing at all
But every single tear I cry is a diamond in His hands And every door that slams in my face, I will offer up in prayer
So I'll give you every breath that I have Oh Lord, you can work miracles All that you need is my "Amen"
So take my five loaves and two fishes Do with it as you will I surrender Take my fears and my inhibitions All my burdens, my ambitions You can use it all I hope it's not too small
I trust in you I trust in you
So take my five loaves and two fishes Do with it as you will I surrender Take my fears and my inhibitions All my burdens, my ambitions You can use it all No gift is too small
Abi, texted me yesterday and was wondering if I could accompany her to LTO and get a non-pro license. I told her that I can accompany her and at the same time apply for a student permit. Just now, i am checking the LTO website (http://www.lto.gov.ph) for the requirements for a student permit applicant. Which of which are the following:
Qualifications:
Must be at least sixteen (16) years old
Must be physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle
Must be able to read and write the local dialect, Filipino or English
Requirements:
1. Original and photocopy of birth certificate. In the absence thereof, any of the following:
a. Joint Affidavit of two (2) disinterested persons who know the applicant and who can attest to
his/her age and identity accompanied by non-availability of record from NSO or the local civil registry office
b. Any legal document to prove his/her age and identity such as GSIS, SSS, passport or any government issued
documents
2. For applicants below 18 years old, parent’s or guardian’s written consent with photocopy of ID card to prove his
identity
3. Taxpayer’s Identification Number (TIN)
4. Duly accomplished Application for Driver’s License (ADL) form
So, if there is anyone out there who would like to have a student permit, this are the as-of-now requirements. as to the ADL form stated in #4 here is the link, (http://www.lto.gov.ph/download.html). Look for Motor Vehicle Inspection Report (MVIR), download the file, print it out and fill it up :) For, students there is a need of your/our parents signature, sabi naman ni Abi, LTO has a provided letter already so all you have to do is go with your parent/guardian para di na ulit babalik.. Or maybe you can make your own letter of consent and just let your poarent/guardian sign it... (I'll try to tell you guys later if this is possible) The procedure for the registration are as follows:
1. Proceed to the Customer Service Counter to have your documents checked for completeness, and secure a Driver's License Application Form. (This form is available for download here. You can accomplish this form prior to transacting your business at the LTO.) Get a queue number and wait for your number to be called.
2. When your number is called, proceed to the transaction counters to submit all required documents to the Evaluator.
3. Proceed to the Photo taking/Signature Area to have your picture and signature taken when your name is called.
4. Proceed to the Cashier when your name is called to pay the necessary fees and obtain an Official Receipt.
5. Proceed to the Releasing Counter, present the Official Receipt and claim the temporary student permit/license.

Uhmm.. it's already 11.30am right now and i might go with Abi later to LTO San Juan cause there are less people there compared to the one near Juan Luna... so aun... that is all!
for non-pro or professional applicants the requirements are in this link, (http://www.lto.gov.ph/newdlreq.html#nonpro)
Take care and God bless!
