....

Hi everyone!!! It's been a long time since I have again posted something and I am sorry for that.. :) As always I was and am very busy with school there are a lot of things needed to be accomplished...

hmmm.. So for a quick update, midterms have already ended last week and I am on my way to taking up TOEIC which stands for Test of English For International Communication. It is an exam that tests your level of understanding for the English language. I am a bit nervous about it since the results that I will get from that test will also represent my final grade for my COMARTS2 course... :/

We had no classes last Monday and the during the Saturday before that I called my friend Maribelle and ask her the title of a particular Korean drama series that they are recommending me to watch, and it was You're Beautiful. (Just click on the link if you want to know more about it ^^) I am really recommending it to everyone. It's been a long time since I have watched any drama series and after watching it I am back to being kilig, and I believe that I will stay this way for around 2 weeks max. ^^

Aside from that, I want to update you about my progress with regards to my resolution for this year. I am no longer trying to reaf my Bible in one year because I find it really hard.. :( My last book was Leviticus. BUT the good news is I am really trying my best to do my devotion every night with the help of Joyce Meyer's Ending Your Day Right, which is a devotional material used to literally end your day right. I am also keeping a somewhat diary of my devotions, as I believe that once things are written it is more concrete or believable. :) I am still going to YMCA and doing my laps but I don't think it is really working for me, I don't thik I am losing anything hahahaha..

Oh! and I have an additional resolution for this year hehe.. I really want to learn a new language if time permits. Korean maybe will do since I have a friend who is a Korean and I really hope that I can talk to her in her language ^^ So I am still looking for a book that will suit my needs, if you have any book that is Korean-English or English-Korean, please lend it to me hahaha..

I am not at home, I am actually at a internet shop so my narration is quite messy... I am sorry :D Till next time..

take care and God bless...

Flywheel

Yesterday(Sunday), we did not have baptismal class because Pastor Tessie was going to share on the Zion fellowship, so I decided to go to YPF (Young People's Fellowship). At first, I really did not want to go since I thought that it was going to be very boring and all BUT just like what I have said, I 'thought'... The movie turned out to be a great one.. I love the way they made the flow of it smooth and the movie simple but inspiring in big ways.. I am inspired by the way Jay Austen placed almost all of his trust to God.. There were some scenes from the movie that seems to be quite exaggerated, but as I really think about it, that is how God works.. He is just truly Amazing and Great for us to question His power.. And a while ago I was with one of my professors during my break time and as she was telling me about her life stories, I was again astonished on how God really answers prayer.. It reminds me of what I already know, that is, things happen on God's time and not 'our' time.. We jsut have to be patient enough to wait and faithful enough to trust Him, that He will do what He knows is best for us.. ^^ I love Him so much.. Please watch this movie or look for it, download, give me a copy then we'll watch it together ^.^

hey!

I love writing on my blog site but whenever I see the title space above the body part, I am a bit pissed cause I can never think of a good title so it is just phrases and even a single word.. (Just wanted to pour out my feelings.. hehe.. I'm not mad :D)

So.. I just want to share that since my mom is not home, I cooked sweet and sour pork today. At first I thought that it was a big failure but in the end it wasn't. I think my dad even liked it and my sister surely did, now with my point of view, I really don't know, I guess what my professor told me was true, 'as long as you are the one cooking it, you will never seem to appreciate what you have cooked'.. And I totally agree with this one :D So uhmm.. I took a picture of the finish product and I am sorry if it doesn't look that good(I don't have a good camera a while ago, I just used my sister's cellphone) hehehe.. ^^V

I'll just post the recipe the next time I sign-in, I am sort of tired right now.. bye! ^^

Easy OREO Truffles

Ma'am Galang/ Chef Galang gave me tons of recipes today (thanks ma'am) and I am very excited about this one. I hope my dad will accompany me to Robinson's Place Manila tomorrow, to buy the ingredients at a new store I am loving at this moment - Baker's Depot. ( I have their link on my Yummy Sites sidebar) :D They sell almost all the things you will need for baking.. and even some things for cooking. Love it! :D This recipe is from Kraft and I don't have the link so...

Prep Time:

30 min

Total Time:

1 hr 30 min

Makes:

3-1/2 doz. or 42 servings, one truffle each

What You Need!

1 pkg. (1 lb. 2 oz.) OREO Cookies, finely crushed, divided

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

Make It!

MIX 3 cups of the cookie crumbs and the cream cheese until well blended. Shape into 42 (1-inch) balls.

DIP balls in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover melted chocolate can be stored in tightly covered container at room temperature and saved for another use.) Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Store any leftover truffles in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

How to Easily Dip Truffles

To easily coat truffles with the melted chocolate, add truffles, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Then use two forks to roll truffles in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove the truffles with forks and allow excess chocolate to drip back into bowl before placing truffles on prepared baking sheet.

Special Extra

Sprinkle truffles with colored sugar or sprinkles in addition to or in place of the cookie crumbs.

How to Soften Cream Cheese

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

*my thoughts/ ideas/suggestions:
you can lessen the amount of ingredients so that you will make less of the truffles (especially if you are just like me who is just about to try making it...) ^^ you can also use white chocolate or any chocolate you like(mint chocobars perhaps?)

hope you are inspired as I am to doing this recipe..

take care and God bless...

how am i?

Time sure flies very fast because I can't believe that today is already the first day of February! There's just 13 days left before Chinese New Year... (Xin Nien Kuai Le).. I am so excited for the red envelopes or hong bao.. (One of the advantages of being young and single... haha)

As of now I am proud to say that I have finished one book for the month of January and the title of the book is "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult. I know that a lot of people know this story or just even heard about this since, last year, this was made into a movie starring Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin. I was so happy when I saw a copy of this book at booksale and I am also thankful that it was very affordable (Php115.-), I had this title in my to-read list and I was really excited when I saw it at the bookstand. The storyline was great, the author really thought about every single thing that happened. Whenever I read something it always never seems to stop to amaze me on how people inspire me as a reader with their stories that seems so real but isn’t. If I were to really live another life, I would love to be an author but as of this lifetime, I do believe that I am not good in writing a composition. :D

Aside from that, I am still keeping in mind all the things that I said I wish to accomplish this year. I am glad I posted those goals of mine because it is one of the reasons why I am doing my best to achieve it. :D I am currently at the second session of my baptismal class which is handled by Pastor Tessie Chua. The first session was about God’s Revelation and the second one is about God’s Word which is the B-I-B-L-E (yes that’s the book for me; I stand alone in the word of God, the B-I-B-L-E. Do you know this song?) And our next session will be on February 14. We were assigned with books which are about lives of different well-known Christians and mine is about George Műller. I don’t have any idea on who he is but I am excited to find out. I have also gone back to my every-Monday-and-Thursday swimming sessions at YMCA. Today, I swam 23 laps which make me very tired. I am also doing my best to save money even though there are just those particular days that I have the eagerness to splurge on either books or foods... (The two materialistic things I love)

I have a quiz tomorrow on our Personality Development class, I just hope that I will pass and I have another quiz for Culinary Arts. We will also be cooking tomorrow; our dish is Sweet and Sour Pork. I pray that it will taste good and we will be successful in cooking rice without the help of rice cooker. :\

I still have a lot of papers to submit tomorrow so I better go and work on it now... Hope you like my post today... I will do my best to post something again soon... Please pray for me that I won't lose my focus in studying because I know I am...

take care and God bless...
