Zong Restaurant

Just today ,we went to Zong Restaurant at The Fort to have a simple lunch with our relatives and here is my short review for this restaurant and all of which are just based on my point of view and palette. It is overwhelming to know Zong Restaurant have won an award for being one of the bet restaurants for the last 6 years. I have been at Zong before but I was still young then and the memory of it all is a blur.

The whole ambiance of the restaurant was nice. They had both round and long tables to offer to their guests which is suitable for meetings or gatherings for any occasion. The service was fine, not great! but fine. Now, I will tell you about their food. We ordered a lot from their menu and most of them are their best-sellers. All I can say is that I wasn't satisfied with the taste of their food (in totality). It's not bad but it was also unsatisfying. I think or believe that one of the reason behind it is that they don't put MSG on their dishes and they only offer natural flavors. One of my favorites (from what we have) will be their Malaysian-Style Green Beans which was really good. While I was eating at Zong, I was thinking of being able to get the dishes wat a lower price range. Zong offers typical Asian dishes which I believe can be found around Manila that will surely cost less. I also think that some of their dishes are only good for small groups of people and if you have a big company with you, you might want to order 2 of each dish. Though, I need to say that the speed of their service was great and once again, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and calming. Going back to Zong will be okay , only if I really have to, but it won't be on my list of favorites. ^^

Relax Time

I was blessed enough to have the chance to go out with some of my high school friends yesterday.. We went to Greenbelt because we all wanted to have a different place to go to aside from Robinson's and SM.. :) How we get there sure was tiring... We had to ride the LRT then a bus at Gil Puyat Station, that is heading to Ayala Avenue... Then, we were dropped at Paseo de Roxas Street and we had to walk a long long way just to get to Greenbelt 1! In the end, we still did get there after asking people on where it is :) When we got there, we stroll along the stores and moved to Greenbelt 5 (which is one of the high-end malls in the vicinity) and we went to timezone to play and surprisingly, there was not even one person playing at Timezone Greenbelt5! I don't know if it is because it was a school day or because it was in Greenbelt5 where there really were not much people around.. :| We played for half an hour and for free thanks to BPI :) After which we then moved to Greenbelt3 to just look around and by the time we got hungry we ate lunch :)

After lunch, my friends went grocery shopping with me, because I was and am going to make blueberry cheesecake tomorrow and I had to buy some of the things that I will be needing like the blueberry filling and the gelatine powder. Oh how I hope that I will be making an edible cake (at least) ^^. Moving on... After the grocery shopping we went to buy me a baking dish that will be used for the cheesecake which cost me Php 124.75 for an 8-inch round one... We were so tired that we decided to head to a coffee shop A.K.A. Starbucks Coffee to sit and just chat with each other like we always do ^^... I ordered Dark Mocha Frappuccino blended Coffee. This is the first time I heard of Dark Mocha Frap from Starbucks and since it has the woed "dark" in it, I knewmI should really try it and I so I did.. It was great but these days, anything from Starbucks seems to taste all the same haha... We went home after all the walks and talks that we did :) I was so glad yesterday that it will surely boost my mood for the rest of this week haha..

In other stuff about my life... I am so excited in making blueberry cheesecake tomorrow for my dad since his birthday is coming soon ^^ I really hope that it will taste good and that I won't encounter any irreversible problems :) Wish me luck guys! I will post about it when I'm done and satisfied with it haha

and i'm back...

WHOAH!!! a month or almost a month without blogging about my life sure makes me really sad... And as always, I must blame school works for this ^^, Today marks the first day of my semestral break and that is why I need to post at least something here :))

School was very stressful and tiring... I had two thesis that I had to defend and one of which was for a contest, though our team did not win.. hehe.. What's good about the contest is that I get to have certificates that I can put in my resume in the very soon coming future... :) The other thesis was to predict on whether or not we will pass that course or fail... We had to develop a plan of developing a tourism related infrastructure that will be beneficial to the the tourism industry of the Philippines T.T Our group decided to develop a hotel at Bohol.. I hope that we did not fail the defense hehe... The only thing I hate about these type of requirements or projects is the amount of money we have to put out for the printing, bookbinding and ringbinding expenses.. T.T It was so expensive and kept me wondering if it is possible to tell our professors that they have to pay us first before they can get a copy of our project?? can we do that?? hahaha...

Anyways, I have so much plans for this semestral break.. I want to meet-up with some of my high school friends and I want to COOK and cook and COOK hahaha... Ever since I had to do all these paper works, I never got the chance to cook and since its already semestral break, I will try and plan to cook dishes and share it with you guys :D I am also planning to get my students permit and learn how to drive as soon as I can, because I have to and want to learn how to drive so badly.. hehe.. I also want to watch movies!! haha.. The last film I watched was Step Up 3 and I never got the chance to watch Despicable Me. So it is my goal to at least watch 2 great films this semestral break!!

So these are my plans before school starts on November 2! (Can you believe that?!!! It's so early!!!) What are your plans???

take care and God bless...
