Remember my promise that I will post the recipe for this? Well, here it is then... enjoy!
"Pinoy-Style" Herbed Pork Cutlets
Ingredients:
1 1/2 kilo pork steak cut (pork chop)
1 pack Japanese breadcrumbs
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 cups chicken stock
1/4 cup salt
2 Tbsp black pepper
50 grams spring onion
15 grams ginger
10 grams parsley (finely chopped)
250 grams carrots
250 grams leeks
150 grams white onions
1 1/2 cup flour
4 pcs eggs
4 pcs red bell pepper
cooking oil for deep frying
cornstarch
1 Tbsp paprika
1 can San Miguel light beer
Procedure:
*For the pork cutlets:
1. Clean and pat dry pork cutlets.
2. Season with salt, pepper and dredge with flour.
3. Dip in beaten eggs
4. Coat with breadcrumbs and chopped parsley. (to give variation and color ^^,)
5. Deep fry in hot oil over medium heat.
6. Cook until golden brown.
7. Remove excess oil using paper towels.
*For the teriyaki sauce:
1.Saute carrots, leeks an celery over medium heat.
2. Add ginger and soy sauce and beer.
3. Stir in brown sugar and chicken stock.
4. Simmer sauce for 10 minutes.
5. Season to taste.
6. Add cornstarch diluted in water to thicken the sauce.
7. Strain.
*For the vegetables
1. Wash veggies under cold running water.
2. Cut into strips. Set aside.
3. In a pan, saute garlic, onions and the other vegetables.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
I truly hope that you will be inspired enough to try this recipe. I myself am excited to cook this but as of this moment, school comes in the way and is my top priority... Here is something you should not miss!! World Food Expo 2010! It will be held this coming August 4-7! There are TWO venues for this event. One will be at World Trade Center at Pasay and The SMX Convention Center also located at Pasay City and is near the famous SM Mall of Asia!
